Loving Unconditionally

Since Self starts its own developmental journey around our 40s not only do we begin to question many aspect of our life, life style, spirituality but we also begin to be more conscious of and more sensitive to other’s behavior which is less respectful, less appreciative, more impatient, less accepting, etc. Once we get to our 50s and 60s many of us seem to mellow out, as the saying goes. With our grandchildren we can have saintly patience acceptance and generosity. The older we et the more we start to behave in civil ways with others. We rarely yell, get in people’s faces, but rather we’ve come to be more a whole lot more encouraging and understanding then 20-30 years before.

There are a lot of explanation from sociologists and gerontologists but I believe it is simply that we are developing the ‘muscle’ we always wanted to have – that of behaving more unconditionally with others If you haven’t been to our section on Personal development where we lay out this concept please go there now.
