Does Unconditional Love Exist? How to Love Unconditionally

This may not sound romantic, but almost 40 years of my life have been dedicated to the philosophical research regarding the role of love in our life.  It is an integral part of a theory I developed called The Continuum Theory of human development.

“Unconditional love” is a grand term. Love on such a grand scale! People I have spoken with over the years almost unanimously told me that it was not possible to love unconditionally; “only God can.”

Being a philosopher, I have learned to ask big questions and not take “NO” for an answer.  I wanted to know why we couldn’t love unconditionally, or if we could, how?

Well I have good news for you. We can. Read more on the good news to making loving unconditional possible...

LOVING UNCONDITIONALLY by Stefan Deutsch

The following are excerpts from Stefan Deutsch’s forthcoming book – I Know You Love Me…..

Why does it hurt so much when we are deprived of someone’s love? Whether it is done by a significant other, a spouse, a parent, a child, a sibling or a friend! Whether it is done only for a minute, or for months or years.

The only logical reason that explains this is that what we call love is actually an energy we need. In fact the only other things we respond to the same way, feel the same pain of deprivation, is when we are deprived of air, food, and water. These 3 have life-sustaining energies – using our logic again has us conclude that love (loving energy) is also a life sustaining energy. Read more on how to love unconditionally...
